[horse and carriage]

^ One of the killer horse and carriages that frequent Mdina and Valletta.

[Mosta church]

^ Mosta church exterior. This church is very much revered throughout Malta, as during the WWII a bomb smashed through the dome, landing in the aisle without exploding and killing the congregation.

Sick and tired of looking at our ugly mugs and want to read the travelogue?

[Mdina street]

^ One of the quiet dusty streets of Mdina. The orange hue on some of the buildings is due to oil being coated on the natural pale yellow limestone to help seal the stone and cut down on dust.

> The Siege Bell Memorial, commemorating those who lost their lives in the convoys of 1940-43, bringing supplies and ammunition to Malta. The bell is rung at noon every Sunday - it's bloody loud too!

[Maltese Bus]

^ One of many kidney-crunching colourful local buses. They look like they've been taken out of Cuba. Just love the colour combo and the stars...
