v Looking through to the Patio de los Leones. This area and its surrounding rooms were the harem. The Lions fountain in the middle is being restored - hence the glass cage around it.

< The portico overhanging the entrance through which the above photo was taken. Columns are made of marble and the intricate wooden and stucco carvings continue... quite breathtaking. You almost feel as if you are standing in a giant wedding cake!
